Punchbowl News ‘to expand coverage to financial services’

DC-based news startup Punchbowl News is expanding its coverage to include financial services, according to a report by Axios.

Founded in January 2021 by ex-Politico journalists, the subscription-based publication previously focused exclusively on covering politics and power on Capitol Hill via newsletters, podcasts and events.

Per Axios‘ reporting, American Banker congressional reporter Brendan Pedersen has been hired as Punchbowl‘s lead financial services reporter.
