The Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) will award New Year Honours to seven ad industry figures in celebration of “their outstanding service and for raising the reputation of adland at large”.
Omnicom Media Group chief commercial officer Chris Byron, TBWA London managing director Annie Gallimore, and GroupM EMEA CEO and IPA president Josh Krichefski will each be given an IPA Fellowship.
Meanwhile, former IPA research director Belinda Beeftink, outgoing Thinkbox research and planning director Matt Hill, Nationwide Building Society chief customer officer Catherine Kehoe, and ex-Unilever CMO Keith Weed will be awarded an Honorary IPA Fellowship.
The Honorary Fellowship is distinct in that it is given to individuals not within an IPA member agency.
“It is always special to announce the IPA New Year Honours as it is our chance to honour and recognise the extraordinary contributions that key individuals have made to the advertising industry,” commented IPA director general Paul Bainsfar.
“Annie, Belinda, Catherine, Chris, Josh, Keith and Matt have all had remarkable careers and played a pivotal role in driving adland forward.”
It is the sixth annual New Years Honours held by the IPA, which began in 2019.
The Fellowships will be granted at the IPA President’s Reception this Thursday.
The new group of seven will join a cohort of 34 previous honourees, including the likes of Karen Blackett CBE, Sir John Hegarty, Alex Mahon, and Sir Ridley Scott.
