Josh Krichefski joins PMG as EMEA President

Former GroupM EMEA CEO Josh Krichefski is joining global independent marketing company PMG as its EMEA president, effective 20 October.

In the role, Krichefski will be tasked with leading the strategy and expansion of PMG’s operations across the region. He will oversee all aspects of the business, from commercial performance and talent to the development of new capabilities and partnerships.

Krichefski will be based in PMG’s London office and will “partner” with founder and CEO George Popstefanov and global president Jon Dupuis.

“I’m incredibly excited to be joining PMG at such a pivotal moment in its growth journey,” Krichefski commented. “What drew me to the business goes beyond its impressive trajectory. PMG sits at the intersection of talent, techology and transformation — built for a marketing landscape that demands agility, speed and innovation.

“From the outset, I saw a values-driven business that aligns with my own, putting people and customers at the centre while leaning into a future powered by AI, transparency, real-time decisioning and connected platforms. It’s that combination of purpose, modernity and momentum that makes this opportunity so energising.”

Krichefski left GroupM in March of this year amid a period of high leadership turnover. WPP’s media buying arm was subsequently rebranded as WPP Media, consolidating its media agency brands under a single P&L.

WPP Media reorganisation: Key appointments

Krichefski also served as president of the IPA from 2023 to 2025, where he promoted a People First Agenda.

His commitment to industry talent was demonstrated last year when Krichefski agreed to become the first Future 100 Club ambassador and took part in an exclusive session for the initiative where he declared that the “industry needs training to put its people first”.

Krichefski is also one of the 25 founding members of the inaugural The Media Leader Club.

His arrival at PMG comes amid a global expansion effort and a series of other leadership appointments. These additions include Chad Stoller as global head of media; Andrea terrassa as chief operating officer; Leah Meranus as SVP customer success; and Matt Dailey as head of analytics and measurement, EMEA.

In 2023, PMG acquired Camelot Strategic Marketing & Media and the UK-based RocketMill to expand its video and digital buying capabilities, respectively. This summer, it bought Momentum Commerce to shore up its retail media capacity.

At Cannes this year, the company unveiled its Alli Marketplace, an AI-driven media-buying solution.

“Josh’s appointment marks an exciting next chapter in our EMEA growth,” said Dupuis. “His track record speaks for itself, but it’s his alignment with our people-centric culture and customer-obsessed mindset that makes this such a strong fit.”
