Sports Revolution Expands Sales Team With Agency Role

Sports Revolution, the outdoor advertising and sports stadium specialist, is continuing the expansion of its sales team with the appointment of Steve Philip as head of agency sales.

The newly created role sees Philip join from Viacom Outdoor, where he spent five years in charge of high-profile accounts including ZenithOptimedia, Manning Gottlieb OMD and BBJ. He is joined by Cassandra Byrne as senior account manager.

Commenting on the appointments, Mike Hodges, managing director of Sports Revolution, said: “The company is enjoying a period of growth in sales and as a result we have needed to strengthen our core team to continue to provide the high quality of service for existing and future clients. Steve and Cassandra bring great industry contacts and experience to SportsRevolution.”

Sports Revolution provides national and regional advertisers with access to over 31 million consumers via 6-sheets, restroom panels, video screens, perimeter boards, programmes and ticket backs at the stadia used by the Football League and a number of high-profile Premier League clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.

Last month Sports Revolution poached Maiden Outdoor’s regional sales manager, Anthony Robertson, to take the newly created position of head of sales. Steve Philip will now report to Robertson in his new role at the company (see SportsRevolution Poaches Sales Manager From Maiden).
