Financial Times Ad Sales Director To Cover EMEA Region

The Financial Times has today announced the appointment of Dominic Good as its new advertising sales director with responsibility for the burgeoning Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Good is currently the commercial director for Adforum.com, the world’s largest specialist advertising website. He has also held senior sales and business development roles across print and online media over the past sixteen years. Taking up his new role in September, he will report to Ben Hughes, the FT‘s global advertising director.

The move sees Good return to the newspaper, after working there for ten years between 1989 and 1999 in a variety of commercial roles. Commenting on the appointment Hughes said: “We are delighted to welcome Dominic back to the FT. He has a great track record in strategic and operational advertising sales across print and online media, both domestically and internationally. He is a great team player as well as a talented and creative operator.”

Good himself expressed delight at his new role, adding: “I’m thrilled to be re-joining the FT. This is an exciting time for the brand as it continues its international expansion. The new role is a great opportunity for me and I am looking forward to the new challenge.”

Last month it emerged that the newspaper is considering a change in design to boost sales. It is understood that features editor Andrew Davis has been handed the full-time task of looking at ways to improve the paper (see Financial Times Ponders New Look To Boost Sales).
