New Media Boss To Boost HomeChoice’s Online Focus

HomeChoice Digital TV and broadband provider, HomeChoice, has announced the appointment of Alex Langley as its new head of new media, increasing the company’s focus on online marketing and its consumer website.

Langley joins the firm from the Friday-Ad, the largest Independent publisher in the UK, where he was also head of new media.

The new role will see Langley assume overall responsibility for HomeChoice’s consumer-facing website, which includes looking at purchase experience, customer communications and online marketing.

Langley will report to HomeChoice’s director of marketing, Vicky Mitchell, who welcomed the appointment, stating: “He brings with him a wealth of experience in new media in a variety of sectors. I am confident he will continue to build on the excellent enhancements recently made to our consumer website and online communications.”

Langley added: “I’m excited to join such a progressive and innovative company as HomeChoice. The product is fantastic and I am focused on continuing to develop the website to ensure we communicate all the facets of the HomeChoice service to consumers in the most effective way possible.”

Prior to working for the Friday-Ad, Langley worked for the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors where he developed and managed their main website.

HomeChoice recently relaunched with a new corporate identity and reworked website. Branded with a sub-heading of “digital home network,” the company’s focus is now on its “4-way” services of digital TV, broadband, phone and video on demand services (see HomeChoice Debuts New Packages And Branding).
