MediaTel Group Sports Quiz Reaches Halfway Mark

The MediaTel Group Sports Quiz has reached the halfway stage and Russell Budden of BMRB International – TGI is the current leader.

The most recent question asked ‘who would win the Carling Cup?’ and Chelsea did just that on Sunday. 55% of entrants predicted the correct answer, including the top 12 placed entrants. This was a bonus question with the winner getting the chance to see a Chelsea FC match courtesy of talkSPORT. The names of all those with the correct answer were put in the hat and the winner is David Benton of News International.

For those not doing quite so well, the chance to change their answers is a welcome one. All entrants can now gamble some points by changing their answers to up to 3 questions, but losing 2 points for each changed predication.

The leading lady in this year’s sports quiz is Leanne McGrath of MediaVest Manchester in joint 10th place. The last two sports quizzes have been won by the girls, so maybe this year will see the first male winner – all will be revealed after the FA Cup final in May.

The leaderboard can be viewed at http://www.mediatelgroup.co.uk/sportsquiz.

Prizes for the quiz include cricket and football tickets, concert tickets, shopping and theatre vouchers. Prizes have been donated by Channel 4, Capital Radio Group, Mantra PR, Viacom Outdoor, Heart FM, Thomas Eggar, Opus and talkSPORT.
