Kiss Signed For Cross Media Nelly Promotion

Kiss Signed For Cross Media Nelly Promotion

Emap-owned music station, Kiss, will promote R’n’B superstar Nelly’s UK tour this month, marking the station’s biggest ever cross-media promotion.

Offering listeners exclusive first chances to purchase tour tickets, the promotion will run across Kiss’s analogue and digital radio platforms, through digital TV feeds, and via online platforms. The campaign will also run on Emap’s Big City stations in locations relevant to the tour dates, including Key 103, Rock FM, Radio City and Hallam FM.

The activity gives Kiss listeners a clear 24 hours head start on other Nelly fans, with Emap’s online ticketing service, aloud.com, making the event available before any other ticket outlets.

GiGi Dryer, head of ticketing and co-promotions at Emap Performance explained the choice of Kiss for the exclusive promotion, stating: “Kiss is the perfect brand match for Nelly and we are sure this partnership with 3A Entertainment will be a great success. It is a further industry endorsement of Emap’s unique multi-media offering and ticket selling capability.”

3A promoter Pete Wilson added: “3A Entertainment has huge experience in promoting platinum, global artistes with record breaking sell outs. We have enjoyed a long and successful relationship with Emap and their cross-platform, digital campaign for Nelly provides us with a communication platform to Nelly fans across the UK.”

Emap has worked hard in recent months to offer Kiss listeners exclusive on air promotions, offering the chance to win trips to a series of club nights in Chamonix in the French Alps earlier this year (see Emap Unveils Latest Marketing Push For Kiss), and regularly including the station in its cross-media mix to promote products and events across its portfolio of magazines and radio stations (see Emap Signs Cross Media Ad Deal With Sony).
