Commenting on the new station, Eric Wilsher, director of RTI said: “The key factors for RTI when contracting out it’s master control activities were extremely reliable connectivity, back-up and technical resources and the ability to fully understand the needs of an international broadcaster.”

Wilsher continued: “When we first contacted Whirlwind after hearing about their new facilities, we were very impressed by their level of customer care. This followed by showing fantastic technical ability and coupled with real time demonstrations of their services.”

He added: “We are looking forward to a long business relationship with them and we will certainly be offering them our additional services as they launch later in 2005.”
