The X Factor Returns With Nokia Sponsorship

X Factor Logo Nokia, ITV and FremantleMedia have officially launched the third series of The X Factor, which will arrive on our screens this Saturday.

The now renowned panel of Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh, will judge the singing talent of the latest bunch of pop wannabes, with Kate Thornton once again taking on the hosting role.

Nokia’s renewed deal will be a full sponsorship package, including broadcast rights on ITV1 and ITV2, and an interactive TV offering. In addition, there will be an extended off-air package including an integrated website and for the first time, mobile content rights.

Nokia will also be supporting the sponsorship with a high impact through-the-line marketing campaign, which will include virals, exclusive offers for Club Nokia members, retail activity and ambient media and PR support. The retail activity includes special gifting packs featuring free The X Factor content and the chance to enter an ‘Instant turn on win’ competition.

Mark Rosenegk, controller of sponsorship and branded content at ITV Sales, said: “The partnership between The X Factor and Nokia has been proven to work very effectively in terms of return on investment over the last two series. The new idents and fully comprehensive sponsorship package will allow Nokia to get an even stronger message across via the new series.”
