Hotel Babylon Floors Footballers Wives

Hotel Babylon BBC One’s slick drama series Hotel Babylon continued to perform well for the broadcaster last night, notching up an average adult audience of 5.1 million to see off ITV1’s similarly polished Footballers’ Wives.

The sensationalist ITV drama drew an average adult audience of 3.7 million in the same time slot, with its share of 17.53% proving no match for BBC One’s 24.52%.

ITV’s long running police drama The Bill delivered better results earlier in the evening, however, conquering all terrestrial competition with an average adult audience of 5.4 million.

Channel 4’s 10 Years Younger performed well against The Bill‘s strong performance, drawing 2.5 million in the same period to provide the broadcaster’s high point of the evening.

Elsewhere, Five’s American medical drama House continued to look good, with 2.2 million tuning in on average between 10pm and 11pm.
