News Group Hires Head Of Mobile Strategy

Rupert Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers has hired its first head of mobile strategy as the group further diversifies the ways in which it delivers content.

Andrew Bagguley will be overseeing the group’s push to get more people reading the Sun and the News of the World

Bagguley, previously the head of international portal management at T-Mobile, joins just after News Group Newspapers and sister company Sky Sports signed a deal with the Sun and the News of the World to provide readers with Premier League soccer highlights on their mobile phones.

BSkyB and NGN will jointly market and promote the in-demand football content, which is part of a three-year deal covering 380 matches a season.
