Bailey’s First Sponsor For Adult Music Chart

Bailey’s First Sponsor For Adult Music Chart

The A-List Logo This Sunday will see Baileys Irish Cream become the first sponsor of The A-List, a new network radio chart show targeting adults aged 25 to 45.

The sponsorship, which was negotiated by Carat, will see Baileys receive coverage for one year as the chart show is broadcast across 50 adult contemporary stations, including the Heart, Real Radio and Century Networks.

Welcoming the deal, Christina St. Croix, brand manager at Baileys GB said: “The sponsorship of The A-list is an exciting part of our evolution. The unique mix of lifestyle chat with an artist led chart will epitomise the contemporary and easy-going attitude of Baileys and we are proud to be working with leaders in radio to develop this.”

The chart show will be managed by hit40uk Ltd and produced by UBC Media, with Andrew Philips, executive producer of the show explaining its proposition as a “blend of all the popular platforms,” covering “downloads, albums, singles and DVDs and presented by two passionate music lovers Melanie Sykes and Nick Snaith.”

The chart’s compilation across different music platforms will make it the first to focus on biggest selling artists rather than their tracks, claiming to deliver an “accurate representation” of the public’s taste.

Hit40uk already runs the hit40uk chart, sponsored by Woolworths, and will launch a new dance and urban chart, Fresh 40, set to launch in Spring.

Earlier this month hit40uk announced its first ever podcasts, launching as part of a promotion with the Home Office to increase awareness of child protection on the internet (see Home Office Taps Hit40UK For Online Safety Campaign).
