British Nature Beats BAFTA

Titchmarsh BBC One’s The Nature Of Britain beat off BAFTA’s big birthday bash on ITV1 last night, with a peak of 4.3 million adults tuning in to see Titchmarsh twitter on about the flora and fauna of this sceptred isle.

The popular nature show, on at 9pm, was up against Happy Birthday BAFTA on ITV1 at the same time, a celebration of the academy’s long and varied life.

The showbiz shindig had a peak of 3.9 million adults (a 16.8% share of the audience), whilst an average of 3.6 million adults stuck with the show for its duration.

On BBC Two at 9pm was the ace sci-fi series Heroes, which grabbed itself a peak of 2.4 million adults (an 11.1% share).

At 8pm on BBC Two was Autumn Watch, with Bill Oddie, Kate Humble and Simon King bringing the latest hot nature action to our screens

The show had a peak of 3.8 million adults (a 17.6% share) and an average of 3.4 million adults stuck with it for its hour long running time.
