Blue Murder Last night saw ITV1’s Blue Murder win the 9pm ratings battle, with the crime drama picking up a peak of 3.9 million adult viewers (a 20.3% share of the audience).

Janine (Caroline Quentin) witnessed a hit and run incident which left a schoolgirl badly injured, and an average of 3.8 million adults stuck with the programme throughout its hour and a half running time.

Over on BBC One at the same time was True Dare Kiss, where the excitement reached fever pitch as Dennis’ agoraphobia got the better of him and he jumped into a JCB and promptly crashed it.

The wacky drama series had a peak of 3.1 million adult viewers (a 16.2% share) and an average of 2.9 million adults stuck with it for its hour-long duration.

The BBC One show was beaten by Big Brother in the ratings war though, with the fun-filled reality fest enticing a peak audience of 3.4 million adults (a 17.5% share) to Channel 4.

Last night saw Ziggy announce Big Brother‘s latest twist to the Halfway House – that whoever is living in the Halfway House on Friday will face the public vote, and possible eviction on Friday night.

After some discussion Ziggy confirmed to Big Brother that the housemates going back into the Halfway House would be David, Kara-Louise, Shanessa and Tracey.

Following on from Big Brother at 10pm on Channel 4 was My Name Is Earl, which featured guest star Christian Slater as a hippy who taught Earl all about global warming. The anarchic comedy had a peak of 1.5 million adult viewers.
