Smooth Radio Gets Two More DJs

Radio Former Radio 1 presenter Lynn Parsons has signed for Smooth Radio’s London station, along with Mike Allen of LBC.

Parson’s will present the four-hour evening slot between 8pm and midnight, Friday to Sunday, whilst Allen will be on air at the same time on Monday to Thursday.

Parson’s has previously worked at Radio 1, Capital Radio, Virgin and BBC Radio 2.

Smooth Radio has now had its line-up completed, ready for its rebranding later in the month. Among the star-name DJs ready to take to the decks are Martin Collins, ex-Virgin Radio, and Mark Goodier (see Mark Goodier To Join Smooth For Relaunch).

GMG revealed at the end of January that it would be rebranding its newly acquired Saga stations (see GMG’s Saga Stations Go Smooth) as Smooth Radio on March 26, giving it a total of six Smooth stations.

Just over a week ago, GMG appointed Chrysalis Radio Sales to handle the entire national sales contract for Smooth Radio (see Chrysalis Appointed To Sell Smooth).

At the last RAJARs, Smooth FM London had a weekly reach of 496,000, whilst the Capital’s most popular station, Heart 106.2 FM had a weekly reach of 1.8 million.
