Planet Rock Announces New Additions To Weekend Line-Up

Digital Radio David Jensen joins Planet Rock in October with a new Sunday morning show Another Dimension, while US DJ Darren Redick will take over the afternoon shifts from 2pm-6pm.

Also joining the station is Joe Bonamassa, whose show – airing Sunday nights at 11pm – will feature music with a blues edge.

Jensen said: “I’m really looking forward to Another Dimension on Planet Rock. The breadth of talent will encompass the likes of John Martyn, Richard Thompson, Big Country, Joni Mitchell, Steely Dan, Steve Winwood, Melissa Etheridge, Jackson Browne, Bob Dylan and many more.”

The best bits of Alice Cooper’s breakfast show – A week with Alice – will move to Saturday nights.

With all the weekend changes Rick Wakeman’s Rick’s Place will remain in its Saturday morning spot of 10am-1pm. Wakeman, known as keyboardist for rock group Yes as well as having a successful solo career in music and on television, joined Planet Rock in 2006.
