All UKTV Channels To Be Rebranded

UKTV is to rebrand all of its channels over the coming 12 months, beginning by making UKTV Gold a comedy channel and launching an entertainment channel.

The final three months of the year will see the broadcaster restructure and expand its entertainment portfolio, with factual channels following early next year and lifestyle channels in the spring.

UKTV Gold will be renamed Gold by the end of the year and will feature shows such as Fawlty Towers and Little Britain.

UKTV Drama will be renamed and repositioned to focus exclusively on crime drama, with other channels also renamed.

Richard and Judy’s new series will air in primetime on the new entertainment channel, alongside Mistresses and Larkrise to Candleford.

The entertainment channel will be given a name this summer, although UKTV has ruled out calling it a first name a la Dave. It will occupy the slot currently used by Gold+1.
