Media Playground: Innovations for the industry

Media Playground At MediaTel Group’s Media Playground event on Tuesday 11 June, several companies demonstrated how their products are delivering innovation in the media industry:

  • Royal Mail had an interactive approach to demonstrating how they can communicate with consumers to deliver a sensory experience via their communication
  • Clear Channel showed a new product area to bring outdoor advertising closer to the consumer
  • 118 118 unveiled their new product – 118 Mate. This delivers local content such as cinema listings to consumers’ mobile phones
  • Nielsen Online showed the attendees how they are geared up to evaluate the wide range of new media opportunities with their portfolio of research services
  • Mediacells outlined their mobile phone expertise with their segmentation via WAP, describing typical users of a wide range of mobile phone brands
  • Facebook Development Garage had a number of companies within their umbrella outlining the varous applications that can be used to engage Facebook users
  • News International had Dom Joly-sized mobile phones to show they content that is now being delivered through Sun Mobile

Each exhibitor had access to the several hundred media executives who attended the seminar and exhibition event held in the city.
