The Apprentice Continues To Rein Supreme

Alan Sugar Last night’s episode of The Apprentice wiped the floor with its opposition, attracting over 6.9 million adults on average to BBC One.

The programme, which saw the hopefuls have more success than in recent weeks with an ice cream creating and marketing task, gave the channel a 30.9% audience share between 9pm and 10pm.

Over on ITV1 at the same time was The X-Factor inspired Rock Rivals, which managed to gain an average of a little over 2.2 million adults, or a 9.8% share.

Meanwhile, a 7 Up style documentary series on Channel 4, Child Genius, which follows several incredibly intelligent children as they progress to their teen years, was watched by over 1.5 million (6.8%).

Earlier, a disastrous episode of Property Ladder proved popular for the channel, and despite the lack of success for the two developers on the show, the programme gained an audience of almost 2.6 million between 8pm and 9pm.

In the same timeslot, ITV1’s The Bill was enjoyed by over 4.7 million (22.6%), whilst 4.6 million (22%) preferred BBC One’s Traffic Cops.
