UBC Confident Of Positive 2004 Results

UBC Media, owner of the Classic Gold Digital network, announced this morning at its AGM that the outlook for the remainder of this year is positive, as sales in the first quarter jumped 78% year-on-year.

The commercial radio broadcasting company and independent radio programme producer said that the directors believe that current trading remains in line with the preliminary results statement issued on 21 June 2004, which showed revenues for 2003 had grown by 29.1% to £13.3 million (see Digital Radio Improving UBC Revenues).

In June, UBC said that its investment in the emerging digital market had helped push profits on and described 2004 as the year in which digital radio came of age, as penetration of pushed the half million mark.
