Mediacom has come out on top as the UK’s number one media agency in terms of billings, according to new figures from Nielsen Media Research.
Although holding on to the number two spot, ZenithOptimedia saw billings drop by 3.2% during the period from nearly £632 million to just over £611 million.
Mindshare Media UK scopped the number three spot, growing by 11.8% to £572 million, while Carat come in at number four with a 0.61% increase in billings.
Iniative Media, which come in at number five, was the fastest growing agency in the top ten with a 22.1% increase, taking total billings for the year to £488 million.
Overall, the fastest growing agency throughout the year was BLM Media, with billings hitting nearly £50 million on a 31.6% increase, followed by Feather Brooksbank, which was up 31.4% to nearly £80 million.

Last year, according to research and analysis group, Recma, Omnicom’s OMD agency remained at the worlwide top spot with billings growing by 7.9% to $19,335 million (see Starcom Drops In Worldwide Revenue Ranking).
