Tickets for MediaTel Group’s ‘Future of Media Research’ seminar are available for just £99 until the beginning of April.

The seminar, chaired by the BBC’s media correspondent Torin Douglas, will look at the shape of media research post-recession.

Delegates will learn what impact cutbacks have had on scope and quality and where we are heading next.

Key topics up for discussion will include:

  • Touchpoints brings the industry together – surely this is what we must build on now, not JICs…
  • “How do I get my planners and buyers to make full use of media research and research tools?”
  • As TV becomes ‘connected’ will return path data eventually negate the value of BARB?
  • Would agency press buyers miss the NRS if it wasn’t there?
  • Will greater use of behavioural targeting systems have a positive or negative effect on the media research industry?
  • After the first 100 days of UKOM – who’s using it? and how?

Trying to answer these questions will be Laura Chaibi, director of research at Yahoo! Europe; Lynne Robinson, research director, IPA; Stuart McDonald, head of insight, News International; and Richard Bedwell, chairman, AGB Nielsen.

The ‘Future of Media Research’ seminar will take place at One Great George Street, London, SW1P 3AA on Friday 7th May, between 9.45am and 11.45am.
