This week is the last chance to book discounted tickets for MediaTel Group’s ‘Future of Media Research’ seminar.

This morning seminar on Friday 7 May will consider how media research will look post recession – everyone has sought more for less, so what’s the impact on scope and quality? Is the media industry simply getting the research it deserves?

Tickets are available for just £99 if booked by the end of the week and can be bought at http://seminars.mediatelgroup.co.uk.

Chaired by the BBC’s media correspondent Torin Douglas, the panel includes Laura Chaibi, director of research at Yahoo! Europe; Lynne Robinson, research director, IPA; Stuart McDonald, head of insight, News International; and Richard Bedwell, consultant, Bedwell Media.

The panel will discuss a range of topics and audience members are welcome to participate.

  • Touchpoints is surely where future focus should go… not JICs
  • As TV becomes ‘connected’ will return path data eventually negate the value of BARB?
  • Would agency press buyers miss the NRS if it wasn’t there?
  • Will greater use of behavioural targeting systems have a positive or negative effect on the media research industry?
  • After the first 100 days of UKOM – who’s using it? and how?
  • Is the media industry simply getting the research it deserves?

This event, sponsored by Ipsos MediaCT and UKOM, takes place at One Great George Street on 7 May from 9.45am.
