Inaugural advisory board announced for The Future of Media London
The Media Leader has revealed the 25 senior figures shaping The Future of Media London. Now in its sixth year, the event returns to Kings Place from 3-4 November.
The Future of Media London advisory board ensures voices from agencies, broadcasters, publishers, platforms and brands shape and challenge the themes, agenda, outputs and speakers, giving delegates at this year’s event a clear signal of where attention will be focused over the next 12 months and beyond.
“This kind of input has always shaped The Future of Media London, through conversations and feedback with leaders in the industry; it just hadn’t been given a proper structure or public credit before now,” said Sam Tidmarsh, head of event content.
“The board changes that, and we’re meeting face to face to challenge the themes we’re planning, test them before they reach the stage and make sure the agenda truly reflects the priorities of the industry right now.”
Imogen Fox, global chief advertising officer at The Guardian and member of the advisory board, said: “The Media Leader does a fantastic job of setting the agenda for media debate every morning and The Future of Media event is where that all comes to life.
“It gives challenging chat, clarity about what is important, and of course it’s great to see the media community together in one place minus the black tie. It’s excellent to be part of the advisory board and to help The Future of Media London shape what comes next.”
Fellow advisory board member Rak Patel, chief commercial officer at Channel 4, added: “As a regular reader and sometimes interviewee of The Media Leader, I’m a huge admirer of the professionalism, tenacity and ethos of the whole team.
“I respect their journalism, applaud their values and start each day by checking out their latest news. I’m honoured to have been asked to join their advisory board.”
Fox and Patel form part of the 25-strong advisory board alongside fellow members:
