Mobile games will generate revenues of more than $7 billion by 2008, according to a new report from Strategy Analytics.
The report advises mobile operators to be flexible in their approach to billing in order to develop games download strategies and take total revenues over the $7 billion mark.
David Kerr, Vice President of the Strategy Analytics Global Wireless Practice commented: “Decisions to develop both retail and wholesale strategies for games is a key turning poiont in the industry. These decisions will enable operators to focus on increasing sales from their own brand of retail games services, while allowing them to use their billing platforms as a strategic asset to earn revenues from the wider growth of the games market.”
