📰 Axel Springer has closed its acquisition of Telegraph Media Group, following regulatory approvals in the UK, Ireland and Austria. (Axel Springer)

🎧 Broadcaster Zoe Ball will join Greatest Hits Radio from 7 September, with a new weekday afternoon show, her first daily appearance since the Radio 2 Breakfast Show. Airing from 1pm to 4pm, it will follow Ken Bruce’s mid-morning show and ahead of Simon Mayo at Drivetime. (Bauer)

✈️ JCDecaux has renewed its contract with Heathrow. The new eight-year contract will run from 1 January 2027, extending the 25+ year relationship between the OOH company and the airport. Heathrow’s media estate comprises over 680 digital screens and advertising assets. (JCDecaux)

📺 The UK government is “leaning towards” intervening in Paramount Skydance’s proposed $110bn acquisition of Warner Bros Discovery over concerns it could limit media freedom and the provision of on-demand programming. (Reuters)

💼 Miroma Group has acquired a majority stake in Ad Results Media (ARM), a US-based creator, audio and performance media agency. Previous owner Shamrock Capital will retain a minority stake in the business. (Miroma Group)

🛍️ Nectar360 has become the first UK retail media network to achieve a certificate under IAB Europe’s Retail Media Certification Programme. (IAB Europe)

🗞️ The Guardian is planning to create 55 new jobs across its UK, US and Australia offices over the next year, with roles in editorial, product development, analytics and commercial being added. (Press Gazette)
