Robert Maxwell is considering taking a 40% stake in the Budapest evening newspaper Esti Hirlap. If the aquisit- ion goes ahead Maxwell will become publisher of the paper and its journalists will be given a stake. An investment package to remodernise the paper is also included in the deal.
