ITN’s news contract with Channel 4 has been extended to the end of 1996. The deal is worth £15.5m a year to the news organisation.
Following intensive meetings with the ITC regarding its franchise commitments, Yorkshire Tyne-Tees Television is planning to restructure its central services at the end of May as well as reorganising the programme-making divisions. A report will be delivered to the ITC board on May 20.

Having sponsored independent radio’s Video Review for three years, Panasonic has decided to withdraw from the £500,000 a year deal, feeling that radio sponsorship no longer fits into its plans. The Video Review claims to have weekly audiences of 6 million listeners.
