MTV Europe has struck up a deal with Omegaland Racing to be title sponsor of a Formula 3000 racing team, due to take part in nine races throughout five different European countries. The contract will enable MTV to display its ‘racing’ logo in a prominent position on the two cars entered and on the team-wear.
LWT is in talks with the Independent Television Commission over rules which oblige the weekend channel to promote Channel Four’s Big Breakfast. Greg Dyke, chief executive of LWT is thought to have initiated the discussions which could result in a change of policy.
