20:20 Opens Closed Shop

The Brighton Media Centre is launching 20:20 in September. The glossy magazine aims to dispel the myth that the media is a closed shop, full of ‘old boys’ squabbling with each other. Young, talented graduates are promising to produce a fresh, feisty, unpredictable magazine that brings a different perspective to the established media, and an introduction to the latest developments in new media.

The title will be going behind the scenes, reporting on what drives the media industries. It will attempt to seek out the faces of tomorrow and question their vision of the future. 20:20 will have four main sections: film, music, photography and new media. Offering practical advice for media students and young people interested in working in the industry, 20:20 aims to establish itself as a media bible for professionals and the general public alike.

The publishers are currently looking for sponsorship; they are looking to hear from anyone who can help with finance, equipment or staff secondment.
