Channel 5 has announced that it has completed its line up of English clubs taking part in European competitions by adding exclusive coverage of Arsenal’s home UEFA Cup games to its current portfolio of Euro soccer action. This includes exclusive coverage of Chelsea’s home games in the European Cup Winners’ cup, Aston Villa in the UEFA Cup and Newcastle United’s European Cup Qualifying Round 2nd leg match.
Both Arsenal and Aston Villa will play their UEFA Cup matches on Tuesday evenings, with Chelsea playing in the Cup Winners’ cup on Thursday nights.
5’s first European action will be Newcastle United against Croatia Zagreb on August 27, while the UEFA Cup begins on September 16.
