500 Jobs To Go At Reuters Thanks To Restructure

Around 500 jobs are expected to go at Reuters in an organisational restructure. The measures form part of an initiative by Tom Glocer, who is due to succeed Peter Job as CEO of the company at the end of July.

The restructure will also have implications at board level, where Rob Rowley and Jean-Claude Marchand will step down in favour of Philip Green and Geoff Weetman, both internal appointments.

Analysts ABN AMRO have given a positive reaction to the initiatives describing them as a clear and logical evolution which showed the new CEO making his mark.
