6 Sheet Turnover Rises 300%

Turnover on 6 sheet posters has grown by 300% since 1991, according to a recent survey by poster specialist Poster Publicity. The format now accounts for over a third of all roadside outdoor ad revenue and is dominated by food, entertainment, media and drink advertisers.

The research also suggests that the market has been inflation free for the past two years and that it is now fully sold up to 3 months in advance. PPL also forecasts that: there will be a further 10,000 sites to be built in the next two years; lower TV inflation over the next few years is likely to put downward pressure on 6 sheet rates; the increased volume of stock is likely to result in a more volatile market, with rates fluctuating more dramatically than at present.
