60 Ad Complaints Received By RA

The Radio Authority has said that between January and March of this year it received 60 complaints about advertising and sponsorship issues, of which 15 were upheld. 7 of these related to misleading ads, 4 to offensive content, 1 was deemed to be harmful, 1 related to sponsorship issues and 2 to other matters.

There were also 75 complaints about programming and related matters, of which 12 were upheld. 5 of these related to matters of taste and decency while other causes of complaint included the accuracy of broadcasts and stations not following agreed formats.
