MediaTel Launches Regional Planning Database
MediaTel’s new integrated Regional Media Database has now launched. Version 1 of this extensive new planning service enables users to analyse media opportunities by any marketing area they wish to create or by any pre-selected media area (ITV area, RAJAR region, Cable Franchise area).
Areas can be created using any combination of postcodes, or via a drive-time calculator.
When a media owner is chosen, extensive additional details are available, including a view all / print all facility which provides an excellent synopsis of a radio station, publisher, cable provider, etc. Other features include reports for title breakdowns, publisher shares and sales house shares.
There are maps for a number of the radio stations and regional newspapers, and a more extensive mapping facility will follow in a later version. On a test basis, data is included (accessed by town or region) from Electronic Yellow Pages and In Business (Thomsons); and there are two map facilities – one linked to postcodes; another to chosen towns.
All data shown is sourced from the media owner or sales house direct, with the exception of RAJAR analysis; ITC (Cable) data; ABC/VFD and ONS household and population figures.
Subscribers can access the Regional Media Database by selecting Regional Media from the drop-down box at the top of this page.
