A Capital Team

Capital Sales and Marketing, the new sales business resulting from the merger of MSM and Capital Radio Sales *Capital Restructures Sales, has announced its new team. The new division has eight account teams who will sell air time across all Capital owned radio stations to both agencies and advertisers. These teams will be headed by two sales controllers, Giles Howard, formerly head of agency sales at Capital and Chris Bennett, formerly agency sales controller at MSM. Each team has its own manager. These are: Fiona Dixon and Peter Charlton, agency sales managers at Capital; Josephine Fulbrooke agency sales executive at Capital; Sally Collins, client sales executive at Capital; Simon Shroot and Collette Lister agency sales managers at MSM; Robert Tomalin, client sales manager at MSM and Nick Hewat, client sales executive at MSM.
The teams will consist of two agency executives; one selling across London stations and the other selling across the regions. There will also be a client executive working across the agency portfolio.
Newslink and The Pepsi Chart Show will continue to have a separate agency sales team; this will be run by Rob Corlett. Sponsorship and promotions across all Capital owned stations will be run by Tim Smale, and London local stations by Joanna Bishop.
Capital Radio has also announced that Michelle Lister, previously director of campaign planning at TSMS, has been appointed to the new role of head of systems and scheduling. Her job will be to ensure that better systems for inventory management, planning and accountability are in place. Diamid Moncrieff has been appointed creative director, he is to work with the industry to improve creativity in radio.
Further appointments are expected pending the Radio Authority’s public interest test decision on Capital’s acquisition of Virgin Radio *Obstacles In The Way Of Virgin Radio Sale.
