The AGM of Capital Radio plc took place in London today.
The chairman of Capital, Ian Irvine reported: “Our radio revenues continue to grow ahead of the radio market as a whole, and profits from the first quarter have grown in line with budget. For the year to September 1996 the radio industry took a record of 4.6% share of the UK’s display advertising market, and independent forecasts predict that this share will continue to grow.”
Commenting on other Capital ventures, outside radio, Irvine said: ” The Capital Radio Café in Leicester Square has made a very encouraging start since its opening in November. The remainder of My Kinda Business is trading in line with our expectations.”
