Meridian Broadcasting’s weather reports are now being sponsored by the Portman Building Society. The agreement, which is said to be worth £500,000, was developed by two Bournemouth based agencies, Roland Long Associates and Marketing Matters, and Meridian’s sales operation, TSMS.
Commenting on the agreement Meridian’s managing director, Mary McAnally, said: “The popularity of our regional programmes and, in particular, news and weather reports, offers great opportunities for regional businesses to promote their products, services or themselves in a highly visible way.”
