ABC April 2012: Telegraph is the only site to record a dip

Most of the UK’s national newspaper sites enjoyed an increase in traffic in April, with all but one of the audited sites posting a rise in unique browsers, according to ABC.

Bucking the trend was The Telegraph, which was down by more than 73,000 browsers MoM (-3.0%).

MailOnline easily remains the most popular national newspaper site, up 4.4% MoM, with a total of 5.65 million browsers for April.

guardian.co.uk is its closest competitor in terms of browsers, with daily average unique browsers of almost 3.9 million, up 4.2% MoM.

The Telegraph sits in third place, despite its loss in April, followed by The Sun (1.5 million); The Independent (696,000); and Mirror Group Digital (661,000).
