ABC Chief Exec Leaves

John Beadell, chief executive of the Audit Bureau of Circulations, has left the organisation to become an independent consultant. No replacement has yet been found.

He had worked at ABC for five years, during which time various developments were implemented including electronic auditing, Internet auditing, exhibition auditing and the simultaneous release of consumer magazine audits.

…Mark Soden, head of Scotsman media sales in London, has been appointed group general display manager of the Scotsman Publications at the Edinburgh head office. He will now oversee all display business carried in The Scotsman publications – The Scotsman, Scotland On Sunday, The Edinburgh News and The Herald & Post series. Also at the Scotsman, Maxine Rose has been appointed national ad sales manager for the London display and classified sales business. She was formerly client advertisement manager with the Daily Mail.
