The Telegraph has now redrafted its complaint to the ABC, withdrawing its demand that all figure’s for The Times’ Monday editions since June 3 1996 must be restated

ABC has rejected the original complaint. In this week’s MediaWeek, Ray Hall, general manager of ABC, has stated that ABC has a letter from The Times dated September 13 1996 saying that the system, where retailers received 8p from the 10p cover price and a further 3p marketing bonus, has ceased. Hall states that the whole of The Telegraph’s complaint is now flawed. The Telegraph’s redrafted complaint is now being considered by ABC.
