Despite a 6.4% lift in average unique browsers in May – the highest increase of all the online ABC monitored newsbrands – the Independent online suffered the biggest hit in June, down -8.7% and losing just over 104,000 daily visitors.
The Telegraph online and MailOnline were both down as well, -4.2% and -1.5%, respectively – while guardian.co.uk experienced the greatest increase in daily browsers, up 4.7% and adding an average of 218,629.
The Sun online also saw an increase in daily visitors and was up 2.1% to take its total average daily browser figure to 1.8 million.
The Mirror Group Digital saw the greatest month on month percentage rise, boasting a 16.1% increase – translating to an addition of 200,000 average daily views.
