The latest ABC digital figures show a general decline for most newsbrands, with the Independent.co.uk the only online platform to see any positive growth – though only a very slight 0.4% gain, adding just over 5,000 unique daily browsers.

Down -6.6% period on period (PoP), the Mirror Digital Group dropped to an average unique daily browser figure of just under 900,000 – the only digital platform not to surpass the one million mark.

Guardian.co.uk wasn’t far behind, down -6.5% to an average just short of 4.3 million unique daily browsers – a contrast to the 6.3% growth that it saw in February.

The Sun’s website was down -5.9% PoP – a total loss of 105,548 average unique daily browsers – while the Telegraph Online dropped by -4.6%, sinking below the three million online readership mark that it saw in February.

Even the MailOnline was not immune, down 5.4% PoP, losing just under 410,000 unique daily browsers.
