The MailOnline continues to lead the online newsbrands with the greatest number of average unique browsers – 8.2 million each day, up 5.1% month on month – according to the latest ABC figures.

However, it was the Independent’s digital platform that saw the biggest percentage growth across the month, up 6.4%.

Mirror Digital Group also saw an increase in daily viewers, up 5.5% to 1.24 million.

The Telegraph online and guardian.co.uk were the only two platforms to experience a loss over the month – down -6.2% and -2.2%, respectively – however, the guardian.co.uk still sits comfortably as the second most visited online news platform, with average daily browsers reaching almost 4.7 million.
