ABCe To Regularly Release Web Traffic Figures For National Newspapers

ABCe Logo The Audit Bureau of Circulations Electronic will now release web traffic figures for national newspaper websites on a fixed date each month.

ABCe has announced publication dates for the reports, which were initially sporadic, with next on April 26.

Monthly web statistics will be published alongside the ABC print newspaper figures in the recently launched Group Product Report (see ABC Launches Group Product Report), which can also include audited attendance figures to any related conferences or events.

Chris Boyd, chief executive at ABC, said: “A single resource for a media group to report all relevant figures will aid selling, and help media owners to prove their audiences across various platforms and channels. Buyers and advertisers will benefit from having all the available data in just one single report.”

Sun Online, the News of the World, the Times and the Guardian have all signed up to the new Group Product Report.

MediaTel.co.uk has itself added a new report, which allows subscribers to access a publication’s print and online audience data in one table.

The new service MediaTel offers allows users to select newspapers and/or magazines, and see the circulation of the publication (ABC, VFD, BDP or BPA) alongside the number of unique users and page impressions for the publication’s website (ABCe audited, NNR or publisher’s statement).

Unique users or page impression figures are available for each website. Subscribers to MediaTel.co.uk can access the combined reports in the Online and Press databases.
