Absolute Radio signs six-figure deal with Renault Vans

Absolute Radio Absolute Radio has signed a new six-figure deal with Renault Vans, with the motoring brand sponsoring the broadcaster’s travel bulletins on-air and online.

The 12 month long deal is the fourth year of the sponsorship, making Renault Vans the station’s longest running sponsor ever. The partnership sees tailored messages for Renault Van models featured on over 70 bulletins each week on the station’s breakfast and hometime shows.

Absolute Radio will also relaunch the travel section on the all new absoluteradio.co.uk with customised Renault Vans branding and content.

The campaign will be managed by Manning Gottlieb OMD, who acquired the Renault account following a business review in 2008.

Nick Hewat, Absolute Radio’s commercial director, said: “The tailored package we’ve delivered for Renault Vans will make sure its models are well positioned at key times and will connect with a national audience of both consumers and small businesses alike that rely on their van as part of their everyday business.”

“Through this new Renault Vans sponsorship we’re building on a long-standing valuable relationship with a core brand moving into 2009, a great start to the year for Absolute.”

Absolute plans to diversify the business from its radio foundations into new areas such as stand-alone branded properties, event ownership, TV and customer transactions, eg music subscriptions, downloads and ticketing.
