ADHunter Set For Launch

ADHunter, an online classified-ad database set up by seven of the largest regional press publishers in the UK, is set for a March 24 launch.

ADHunter has been set up by Trinity International, Northcliffe, United Provincial Newspapers, Newsquest, Johnston Press, Bristol United Press and the Manchester Evening News to create a “comprehensive and user friendly classified-ad database” on the Internet.

ADHunter’s three Web sites will cover cars, jobs and property. AutoHunter will be the first to launch on March 24 and JobHunter and HouseHunter will go online later this year. AutoHunter will combine a searchable database of 355,000 car ads with news, roadtests and other features. To attract traffic it will advertise in participating newspapers, use print-advertising in motor and Internet press and gain preferential entries in major search engines. Ad sales and enquiries are being handled by New Media Marketing & Sales.
