Adshel Secures £8m Contract

Adshel Secures £8m Contract

Adshel has been awarded an £8m, 15 year contract to install 1,000 bus shelters in Hertfordshire.

Adshel will supply and maintain the shelters, which will each be equipped with seats, lighting and displays carrying “real time” passenger information.

Adshel managing director, Julie France, said: “This is a very significant win for us, with 7,00 out of the 1,000 shelters carrying advertising. The build programme will begin shortly and we are hoping to have the first panels available by the end of October.”

Adshel was awarded the contract by Hertfordshire council, which runs a “Travelwise” policy to encourage the use of public transport through the provision of high quality bus shelters.

Adshel is also due to launch a new research service for the outdoor industry this month that assesses the effectiveness of poster advertising (see Adshel To Launch Research Service).
