Adshel To Launch Live Link LED Screens

Adshel is trialling its first ever LED screen, which will also be the first in the UK to have a live link enabling copy and creative changes to be made within ten minutes during working hours.
The 4m x 2m LED screen, sited in Broadmead shopping centre, Bristol, will launch at the beginning of March, and screen a mix of ads, local news, weather and council information in multiples of ten-second slots. Among the first advertisers to use the system will be Microsoft, promoting its Xbox games console, and airline Go.
The ability to change copy via the live link will, Adshel believes, be of particular use with price promotions, time sensitive copy and campaigns with multiple creatives. “We think the market is ready for LEDs” said Adshel managing director Julie France, “The provide advertisers with high impact moving ads that can be changed or updated within minutes.”
Adshel is planning the launch of four more LED screens later in the year.
